Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose TechSmart Academy?
We take a child-centric approach to teaching. Our curriculum is designed in such a way that your child learns by doing. Our goal is to make your child's experience engaging and fun. Our sessions are split up in such a way that your child isn't bored or feels like the material is going over their head. Our camps conclude with a Showcase where you are invited to come see what your child has accomplished during the week.
Where are your camps held?
Depending on the week of camp, camps are held at different locations. Our camps are held at community centers, schools and STEM focused organizations. Exact room details at community centers will be sent to campers a few days before the start date.
Are there outdoor activities during recess times?
We recognize the value of play and exercise and will include outdoor activities during recess times whenever it is possible to do so, at the location where the camp is being held. Recess times are part of our morning and afternoon sessions. When it is not possible to include outdoor activities, children will be able to play board games, read books and engage in arts and crafts.
Does my child need programming experience?
Your child need not have prior programming experience.
Are laptops provided?
During Minecraft camps, will my child learn programming or play Minecraft?

Will my child be able to continue working on projects after camp?
Your child will take projects home, as well as instructions on how to continue working on them.
